ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Jenna is transcendental artist who specialises in oil paintings and has spent the last few years studying and practising art as a painter, illustrator, and poet, in Florence, Italy.

The impact of a classical training, combines with dynamic expressionism in Jenna's animist oil paintings. She questions the nature of reality through her study of consciousness, creating an energetic mirror to the spiritual experience with each of her artworks.

Jenna first studied Art, Design and Media practice at Kingston School of Art and then moved to Florence to pursue a traditional training in the masters oil painting techniques.

Since finishing her training in classical portraiture at Charles Cecil Studios, Jenna completed her first solo exhibition titled 'When The Stream Walks On The Shore'  in July at Labatorio 13, Il Conventino in Florence. Exhibiting a collection of paintings which explored the concept of Emanationism through the element of water.

She is currently taking part of a group exhibition titled ‘Wundakammer’ , held at Aquaflor Firenze and curated by Alchemist Artist Polina Stepanova. Exposing a pair of paintings reflecting the integration of opposites, investigating the eternal dynamics of masculine and feminine primordial forces.

Continually inspired by the Sacred, Jenna is going to study Theology and religion at the University of Oxford in October, to unite her spiritually guided creative practice with a strong foundation of theological knowledge, in order to engage in informed expression of the spiritual experience.

"Infused with symbolism, continually reflecting the dance between form and formless. I've come to recognise my artistic practice as a form of Alchemy, so each of my paintings which flows forth is both an expression and an invocation of transformation."
